Education
Dr. Timothy B. Gateley brings the country’s most current concepts in podiatric medicine and surgery to his practice in Topeka. He is Board Certified in Foot Surgery and has completed intensive surgical residency training with some of the top specialists in the field.
Born and raised in Edmond, Oklahoma, Dr. Gateley attended Oklahoma University where he received a Bachelor of Science.
Dr. Gateley pursued his podiatric medical degree at the William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine and a two-year surgical residency at Leavenworth VA Hospital in Leavenworth, Kansas.
After 6 years of medical education and training, Dr. Gateley settled in Topeka to begin his foot and ankle practice.

Dr. Gateley has hospital and operating privileges at Tallgrass Surgical Center; University of Kansas Health System, St. Francis Campus; Stormont Vail Health Care; Community Healthcare System, Onaga, KS. He specializes in the surgical treatment of the foot and ankle. He has an accomplished surgical background in bunion surgery, hammertoe surgery, flat foot reconstruction, ingrown toenail, and other foot/ankle procedures.
Offering more non-invasive procedures such as treatment of sports medicine injuries, orthotic therapy, injections for plantar fasciitis/neuromas, Dr. Gateley champions a comprehensive surgical and non-surgical treatment approach to solve patients’ problems.
Dr. Gateley uniquely combines a strong sense of community with world-class training and expertise. His warmth and genuine care for his patients is reflected in the compassion and communication he provides to those under his care.
In the Community
Dr. Gateley is proud to call Topeka home. When not taking care of patients, he spends time with his wife and three wonderful children.
He and his family believe strongly in giving back to the community and take an active role in their church, community, and children’s many activities. Along with cheering for his beloved Sooners, he enjoys running, biking, hunting, and the outdoors.
